About the role:

NeuroPerform, a growing provider of neurological occupational therapy services in the west and north of Melbourne, is seeking a talented and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals living with neurological conditions, helping them regain their independence and improve their quality of life. 

 

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' functional capacity, goals, and rehabilitation needs

  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments

  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, focusing on improving clients' daily living skills, mobility, and community participation

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, person-centred care

  • Participate in regular case reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our rehabilitation services

  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

 

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor or Masters in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with clients as an Occupational Therapist, with neurological and community experience preferred. 

  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective rehabilitation interventions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients, families, and the multidisciplinary team

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based and client-centred care

  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a community-based setting

  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
